Located in a stunning public garden, the Great Pumpkin lights up the fall season with thousands of jack-o’-lanterns. After being canceled last year due to the pandemic, this year, the event comes back bigger and better than ever with various fun activities.
The Great Pumpkin Glow usually occurs on 2 weekends in October. This year, it happens on October 16-17 and October 23-24. The event starts from 5 pm to 10 pm on Saturdays and from 5 pm to 9 pm on Sundays.

With the brand new addition of garden features and the Garden Gateway visitor center of Kingwood, the Great Pumpkin Glow brings in a refreshed and comfortable fall experience for visitors. You can stroll down the street, enjoying the live music while perusing stunning displays of glowing pumpkins carved by members of the community, beautiful fall chrysanthemums, dramatic gourd exhibits, glittering light displays, glow merchandise for kids.
Moreover, there are also a lot of other things you could do, from wandering around the Fall Market, Carvers Carnival, Greenhouse Glow to seeing the Scarecrow Row path. From the days before Pumpkin Glow, visitors can carve pumpkins at the Community Pumpkin Carving from noon to 6 pm.

Besides fun activities, the Pumpkin Glow also provides a party with delicious dishes of local cuisine, including Sweet Potato Poutine and Pumpkin Macaroni and Cheese. Don’t forget to tickle your tastebuds in various dishes like Balsamic Honey Mustard Glaze Pork Chop, Smoked Brat with Red Cabbage Jam, and warm your stomach with Roasted Sweet Potato & Pumpkin Corn Chowder.

The tickets for the Great Pumpkin Glow are available online at the official website of Kingwood. You can purchase those at the price of $8 or $10. Children at 6 years old or under will get free entrance tickets.
Nearby Mansfield Senior High School, there are plenty of free parking slots through Linden Rd. gate. But make sure to come early at least 15 minutes to enter by the admission gate. For handicap parking, there are limited shuttles available.
Kingwood will only be open during the Pumpkin Glow and will close on the next day following the event.
