1. Where Is The Bayfield Apple Festival Located?
Bayfield’s apple festival usually takes place on the shores of Lake Superior in Bayfield, Wisconsin, which is praised as one of America’s Best Small Towns by Smithsonian Magazine and the Best Little Town in the Midwest by the Chicago Tribune.
50 years ago, when the local orchards started bringing apples to downtown Bayfield and sold them to visitors, the Apple Festival got its start.

2. When Does The Apple Festival Happen?
The Bayfield apple festival is a three-day festival that starts on October 1 and ends on October 3. This year, the fest occurs from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday and from 7.30 am to 12 am on Saturday.
On Sunday, the fest continues from 11 am to 5 pm, featuring plenty of entertainment and fun activities.
3. What To Do At The Apple Festival In Bayfield
Known as the best harvest festival in Wisconsin, the Bayfield apple festival features many fun activities and entertainment, from tours to orchards and wineries, live music by the Blue Canvas Orchestra, fine arts and crafts, and carnival. You’ll also have a chance to sample a variety of delicious local foods from more than 60 vendor booths.
There are also special events, including apple peeling contests, Saturday evening fish fry, the crowning of the Apple Queen, apple peeling and pie contests, staged and street entertainment, kids’ carnival and contests, the Grand Parade with 400 participants and a mass band marching down Rittenhouse Avenue.
When you are in the fest, don’t forget to stop by the Bayfield Apple Company to visit Cider making and try apple brats, granola, apple butter crisp, jams, butter, jellies, fruit mustards, caramel apples as well as free-range pork products. On Saturday and Sunday, Erickson Orchard & Country Store will provide you endless fun, music, games, tours.
Be sure to stay in the Bayfield apple festival on Saturday and Sunday to experience the hayrides, Pony rides and enjoy festival food at the farm such as Apfelhaus Cidery, smoked pork sandwiches with apple butter BBQ sauce, jam, apples butter, to name a few.
