1. History Of The Autumn On Parade
At first, the Autumn on Parade was a small market organized by a group of seven vendors, showcasing some of the local homemade treats such as apples and bittersweets. Those vendors sold their harvest products on the weekend in September, on the Third Street of Oregon.
After that, the festival began to take shape. Local farmers moved their vendor booths to the Courthouse Square, where the 121-year-old Ogle County Courthouse was located. At the time, this new location created an impressive backdrop for the festival, attracting more and more vendors as well as visitors.

Today, the festival still remains a volunteer organization. Every year, thousands of visitors flock to Oregon to enjoy the harvest season and try local food. Some of the new attractions are added to the schedule, including Auto Classic, Harvest Time Parade and many family orientated activities.

4. Best Outfits Ideas For The Autumn On Parade
The best thing about fall is certainly the weather. It’s not too warm or too cool so you can try on a variety of styles and items. To give you some inspiration, here are some outfit ideas for the Autumn on Parade that you can learn from.
A Button-down Is Perfect For Fall
A Button-Down is certainly a must for fall. It’s elegant, simple, and easy to pair with any other fall items, from shorts, jeans to a basic tee and turtleneck. It doesn’t matter if it’s plain or striped or checked. Opt for a simple one and you’ll have a variety of ways to mix and match.

The best way to wear a button-down is by layering it with other tops. You absolutely can wear it in place of a jacket or sweater or use it as the foundation under a blazer. Pair it with jeans or a mini skirt and booties to look extra fashionable.
Opt For Practical Long Pants
You’ll spend a lot of your time walking during the fest, so comfortable pants are necessary. The most versatile item that you can wear on any occasion is long pants. No matter if you’re jogging down the street or grabbing a cup of coffee, this item will give you more comfort than you think.

You can pair long pants with a knit sweater at night, or a graphic tee on warm and sunny daytime. Opt for some basic accessories like a cross-shoulder bag, booties, or sneakers.
Vibrant Matching Sets
Matching sets are nothing new, but it doesn’t mean that those are old-fashioned. For a fall day, vibrant matching sets will light up the neutral tone of surrounding sight. So it’s certainly an interesting choice.

A tip to wear matching sets: Opt for a third item. It will give your ensemble a fun feel. You will have a lot of options, from a matching coat, denim, a jacket, or accessories like a hat or jewelry.
